Save the Date (Sept. 17)! State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carey M. Wright will kick off her statewide series of Community Forums with a Community Forum in Wicomico County on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The forum will be held at Salisbury Middle School and will take place from 5-6 p.m. It is open to the entire community to attend.

Students who have ATEX (PHS) or Schumaker 1st period should ride bus 171 or 9. Students who have JROTC or VPA at WiHi 1st period should ride bus 5. Be on the back bus ramp by 7:30 the bus pulls out at 7:35.

Friday, Aug. 30: Central Office and school offices are open, but teachers and most school staff are off today to enjoy the last weekend of the summer before the start of school. We look forward to seeing everyone rested and ready for learning starting Tuesday, Sept. 3 for most students.
Teachers' first week has been full of Professional Development and welcoming each other back to school. There are lots of returning staff and new faces! Tuesday evening, we welcomed incoming 9th graders and new JMB students. Everyone seemed excited to be on the Clipper Ship. Also, this week we distributed laptops and today, Thursday is "pick up day" for those who were unable to come on their assigned day.
The Family Portal, an invaluable information resource for parents and guardians and students, is now open for the 2024-2025 school year.
