It’s Time to Nominate a Great Educator to Be the Next Wicomico Teacher of the Year!
The Wicomico Teacher of the Year Program provides students, families, colleagues, and others in the community the opportunity to nominate, celebrate and honor top educators from around the school system. Outstanding teachers may be nominated in each Wicomico school as well as in Wicomico’s special programs (Birth to Five program, English Language Support Center, Choices Academy and virtual learning).
Nominations are open Oct. 26 through Nov. 24 for the next Wicomico Teacher of the Year. You can access the nomination form through the school system’s website https://www.wicomicoschools.org or by using the links below.

October 13, 2026 - Three Wicomico Public Schools employees were recognized for going the "Extra Mile" in their work duties at the October 13th Board of Education meeting. Robert O'Day, custodian at James M. Bennett High, Ben Sandlin, Teacher/Coach/Athletic Director at James M. Bennett, and LiAnn Piposzar, Community School Coordinator at Willards elementary were honored and given a plaque and certificate for their outstanding work.
