This will be our second year aligning our students chosen at homecoming with our school motto of Sailing the Clipper Way. Students can nominate classmates to be considered for our First Class Clipper. Our First Class Clippers should meet the 3 points of being a Clipper, meaning they are Anchored in Respect, Navigate Responsibility, and Charting Excellence. Students should select other students in their grade level who are deserving of this award and nominate them for the First Class Clipper.

This is our second year naming chosen students at homecoming who exemplify our school motto of Sailing the Clipper Way. A First Class Clipper should meet the 3 points of Sailing the Clipper way, meaning they are Anchored in Respect, Navigate Responsibility, and are Charting Excellence. Students should select other students in their grade level who are deserving of this award and nominate them for the First Class Clipper. Students nominated must meet the criteria of Sailing the Clipper Way to go further with the selection process. Your First Class Clippers from each grade will be named at the homecoming game on Thursday, October 10th, during the half-time performance.

We are pleased to announce that Austin Loar is a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist. We are so proud of him and wish him well during the next phase of the process. Congratulations Austin!
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition among high school students for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships that began in 1955. The program is conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®), a not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance. United States high school students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which serves as an initial screen of over 1.3 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
