Sometimes, I think we like to add a little twist to everything we do here at Bennett. This week was a pep rally during a safe in place followed by a homecoming game and dance during a tropical storm.
As we move into this last week of September, I hope we can slow down and find a positive groove.
This year, we are fortunate to have the same school resource officer as last year. This year will be Deputy Pecoraro's year here at JMB. He is excellent at getting to know the students and promotes great school spirit for JMB. Also on our team are three campus patrol staff members focused on moving throughout the building to ensure safety.
In case you lost track of time, teachers are required to enter progress report grades on Monday, the 2nd, and progress reports go live on the 4th. That means we are just eight days away from the midpoint of the first term.
Please monitor your email for updates about your student's attendance. Students who miss 5 unexcused days during a term must earn back their grades. Parents have 5 days of absence notes and 5 lateness notes they can use per year.
