REMINDERS FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS ATTENDING ATHLETIC EVENTS

As you attend events at Wicomico County Stadium, please keep the following rules and regulations in mind:

Gate Information:

• Middle and Elementary School students MUST be accompanied by an adult (21 or older) and MUST STAY under their direct supervision.  We welcome our young fans and appreciate the support they provide, but we also need to ensure their safe attendance.

• Backpacks and large bags are not permitted and should not be brought into the stadium. If brought, you will be asked to leave it in the car or leave the game.

• Noisemakers are not permitted in the stadium and may be confiscated.

• No outside food or drink is allowed in the stadium.  Concessions will be available.

• Re-entry is not permissible.  If you leave the stadium, you will not be permitted back into the game. Please bring jackets, blankets, and sweatshirts when you initially enter.

• Footballs, soccer balls, and other athletic equipment are not permitted in the stadium and will be confiscated by staff.

Throughout the Event:

• Only coaches, players, officials, and game administrators are allowed inside the track and field area.

• When cheering during the game, we ask that fans not stand on or jump upon the seating planks in the stands.

• When cheering during the game, please refrain from standing along the front railing.

• To keep everyone safe, fans are directed not to push, shove or jump on one another.

• Good sportsmanship is positive encouragement and support for ALL athletes, performers, and officials. Unsportsmanlike conduct such as cheering against the opponent or officials, singling out specific student-athletes, foul language, booing, taunting, etc., may result in removal from the premises.

• We advise all spectators to take note of the stadium exits.  Spectators should have a plan for exiting the stadium and meeting up in emergency situations such as bad weather.

• At the conclusion of the event, please leave the stadium and parking lots promptly. High School students relying on parent transportation should communicate anticipated ending time with parents to ensure their ability to be picked up promptly.

Parking:

• Wicomico County Athletics reminds you that parking at the stadium is limited. Please park in designated spaces only.

• Carpooling is highly recommended.

• Cones are used to designate parking for school officials, police, and handicapped guests.  Anyone parking in a handicapped zone illegally will be ticketed.
