On this 25th anniversary of 9/11, Wicomico County Public Schools joins our country in remembering and honoring the importance of this date. It's an important day for all to reflect on the lives lost and service given. on Sept. 11, 2001. Our nation also marks Sept. 11th as Patriot Day, and the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
Calendar Reminder: Schools and offices of Wicomico County Public Schools are closed on Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day. We look forward to seeing everyone when schools reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

We're excited to see our students for the start of the 2026-2027 school year this week! Tuesday, Sept. 1 is the first day for students in grades 1-6 and 9 (Grade 6 only at Mardela, all grades attend at Pittsville). Then on Wednesday, Sept. 2, all students in grades 1-12 will be in school. Our Prekindergarten and Kindergarten students report as assigned by the school during the first week.

At this event you will:
-Learn about the college application process,
-Hear about how to Pay for College, FAFSA and Scholarships;
-Learn how you can write a standout essay, and
-Select 2 workshops to attend that will help you navigate the college application process.
Students will have time to work on college essays and get feedback from our teachers, and work in SchooLinks with help from staff. In order to do this, students need to bring their school issued laptop.
